Screeding

Truss Screed
Large spans or high tolerances are both tasks for the Truss Screed.
Rodding is not Screeding, these are two different work processes.
Screeding concrete is the process of striking freshly poured concrete using a straight or special shaped rigid tool (like a wooden board, jig, metal screed or mechanical screed). This screed tool is pulled or struck across the surface with strength and finesse. It removes excess concrete, fills low spots, and creates a flat or shaped surface per design. This is a key and important step that establishes the profile of the concrete and prepares it for further finishing.
By definition, screeding is not the work of a Laborer[1] or Carpenter [2] but a Cement Mason [3].
Rodding is a manual method of compacting concrete, often used in areas where mechanical vibration is difficult or impossible. A rod is used to tamp or vibrate the concrete, forcing it to settle and compact, AKA ‘rodding’ (often seen when testing concrete slump, using a metal rod to consolidate the concrete, they are ‘rodding’. Big difference from Screeding. Don't get it twisted.
