Local 528’s mission
Is to empower our members to improve their lives far beyond the workplace. One of the most notable ways we want to help fulfill this mission is by helping members and their families gain a higher education that opens doors of opportunity to a brighter future. That’s why we are proud to announce the Local 528 Scholarship Fund! Established in 2020, our members and their dependents will have a chance at being awarded scholarships from Local 528. In October of 2024 we started an annual scholarship in remembrence of Mark Maher, this will be a scholarship of special purpose in his names sake. This is all made possible by donations to the fund and a .01 cent/hr contribution from the members. Keep an eye out for the Annual scholarship notices to take advantage of this benefit that invests in our Local Union and its families.
